The Ireland-China Software Synergy Conference, 2011
Nanjing’s Software Industry: Fostering Co-operation and Exchange with Ireland
Taking the theme of ‘Nanjing’s Software Industry: Fostering Co-operation and Exchange with Ireland’, the Ireland-China Software Synergy Conference will be held on December 8th, 2011 from 2.30pm until 4pm, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin.
This initiative is fully funded by the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the CPC and is aimed at forging links with Irish software companies and organisations as well as talented Irish IT professionals who might be considering a career in China.
Sixteen leading companies and organisations from China will attend the conference, where they will outline the significant areas for co-operation and exchange that exist for potential Irish partners. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about China’s – and particularly Nanjing’s – rapidly growing role in the global software industry, and network with industry peers from both Ireland and China.
Nestled in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, one of the most prosperous areas on China’s eastern seaboard, the historical city of Nanjing is capital of Jiangsu Province. Software is the pillar industry of Nanjing and revenue from software development and IT services generated by the city totalled RMB 101.33bn (€11.54bn) last year. The city has received great support from the central government in developing its software industry to a world-class standard, and has received several national awards for its efforts in this regard.
