The Ireland and China Association was formed in November 2000 with the aim of bringing together Irish and Chinese business and educational people for the purpose of exploring opportunities and making contacts.

The Ireland China Association has the following aims:

  • To promote greater economic ties between Ireland and China.

  • To increase trade and commerce between Ireland and China.

  • To increase cultural and educational links between Ireland and China.

  • To promote the greater knowledge of both countries.

  • To further the links in all ways open to the Association.
We hope to achieve the following objectives:
  • By providing a significant programme of networking events for Members, in the form of regular Breakfast and Lunches, Seminars and evening Business Briefings with Guest Speakers.

  • By producing a regular E-zine for members, containing trade information and news of Irish and Chinese events.

  • By maintaining a website, www.irelandchina.org which contains relevant business and academic related information and archived transcripts of newsletters and briefings.

  • Through co-operation with both Irish and Chinese state bodies in meeting a significant number of visiting trade groups from China.

  • Assisting in delegations from both countries.
